Wer jedoch einen funktionalen, schweren und preiswerten Schmortopf für den regelmäßigen Gebrauch sucht und nicht nur für einen Markennamen bezahlen möchte, erhält hier ein wirklich leistungsstarkes Arbeitsgerät, das bei guter Pflege vermutlich auch ohne Garantiefall sehr lange hält.

It effectively serves its intended purpose and performs exactly as a premium cast iron pot should.The first thing noticeable is the overall build quality. This cast iron pot is really high quality and feels extremely solid and well made. I took a lot of photos so the quality can be judged visually and not only based on my words. The workmanship, weight, and finish immediately give the impression of a durable product designed for long term use. The pictures posted by the seller on the Amazon product page give an accurate representation of what you actually receive.In daily use, the pot performs very well. Heat distribution is even and reliable, and nothing sticks during cooking even though the surface does not appear to rely on a Teflon coating, which is a huge plus for me. It is a very versatile piece of cookware that can be used for basically anything. Roasts, stews, and even bread baking work great, and bread comes out especially well thanks to the heat retention of cast iron. I am extremely happy with the cooking results and expect to use it for many years.The quality offered is good for what is clearly a premium product, and the materials used feel high end. However, price is the main downside. This is probably the most expensive cast iron pot I have ever seen or owned, with a current price of 487 €. I understand the pricing model and that it is positioned as a higher end product, probably aimed at markets like Switzerland where premium cookware is more common. Still, for me personally, it is simply too expensive. At the end of the day it is still a cast iron pot, and if I had not received it for free, I would not buy it at this price. Because of that, I reduce one star.Overall, this is an excellent and very high quality cast iron pot that delivers outstanding cooking performance and durability, but the extremely high price will not make sense for everyone.
